Spring Soccer Starts April 12th

Spring soccer is right around the corner with league play starting on April 12th this year.  Howell Revolution teams will play an 8 to 10 game season.  Coaches will be in contact with all players to inform them on practice times.  Howell Area Soccer Association would like to wish all teams good luck and good soccer in the upcoming season!

Howell Soccer Night With The Detroit Ignition!

We're having a special Howell Revolution Soccer Night as a club building event. The Detroit Ignition has extended this offer to us in an effort to promote soccer in the area. This offer is available to all players, family, friends, soccer fans, neighbors, .... This night will also be "Brazil Night" and will be an exciting evening both on the field and off as the Detroit Ignition has three phenomenal players from Brazil. Detroit Ignition - Meet the Players
January 18, 2008

The Detroit Ignition will be bringing two of their professional players (Such as Jamar Beasley, Hewerton, Danny Waltman) to Kicks and Sticks to meet with Howell Revolution players and to answer any soccer questions that the players may have. They will demonstrate their skills and will then be available to answer questions from the players. The evening will end with an autograph session, so players can bring something special to be signed.  Go to the Special Events Page for more information.

Howell Revolution To Host Referee Class
January 18, 2008

The Howell Revolution will host a entry level referee class conducted by MSYSA.   It will be on Saturday, March 8 from 9 AM to 1 PM and Sunday, March 9 from 1 PM to 5 PM at Voyager Elementary School in Howell. Upon successful completion of the class and passing the test, the candidate will be a grade 9 referee.  Certification is necessary to referee WSSL games.  For more information go to the MSYSA Referee web site.

Registration for Spring Soccer has begun.  Go to the Registration Page for more details.  Registration runs from 1/2/08 until 1/31/08.  Please sign up as soon as possible since many teams fill up quickly and players are placed on a first come, first served basis.

HASA Holds Executive Committee Elections
June 5, 2007

Howell Area Soccer Association held the Executive Committee Elections at the June meeting.  The 2007/2008 Howell Area Soccer Association Executive Committee members  are President- Jim Klingsten, Vice President- Dane Zemper, Secretary- Steve Tourangeau, Treasurer- Jan Reich, Registrar- Carrie Tourangeau.  Unfortunately, the HASA Head Referee position remains open.  Howell Area Soccer would like to thank all volunteers that seem to work tirelessly for the club- especially the 2006/2007 board members not returning for the new term Vice President- Scott Fetner, Treasurer- Scott Knoy, and Head Referee- Paul Hohos.

Howell Revolution Tryout Schedule Announced

Howell Revolution Hosts Detroit Ignition Camp

The Howell Revolution are pleased to announce that it will host a Detroit Ignition Soccer Camp at the Howell High School Stadium, July 9 -13.  This value priced camp is open to all players 4 - 18.  Players of all skill levels will be accommodated.  Register before June 1 to save $10.  See the Special Events page for more information.

U12 Boys Indoor Champs!
April 22, 2007

The Howell Revolution U12 boys team finished their indoor season in style with a perfect record of 8 wins, zero losses.  The boys gave up less than a goal a game while putting more than 40 in their opponents net.  Congratulations to the coaches and players on a job well done.

HASA Elects Executive Committee Members

2006 / 2007 Tryouts - Mark Your Calendar

Spring Soccer Season Underway!

Accented by unseasonably warm and sunny weather, outdoor soccer went into high gear with Howell Area Soccer teams playing their first outdoor games all over Southeastern Michigan.  These first games will be the start of an eight to ten game season competing with other teams from the Western Suburban Soccer League.  The members of Howell Area Soccer Association would like to wish all participants good luck and good sportsmanship in their efforts towards achieving a successful season.

Howell REVOLUTION will again hold its spring Academy soccer clinic for players ages 5 - 8.  This low cost clinic will develop each player’s soccer skills with focus on the basics that make soccer fun and exciting.  The Clinic is designed to prepare players for the next level of soccer. Revolution Teams Take WSSL Select Championships
November 10, 2005

While all REVOLUTION teams experienced success during the fall season, the Howell Area Soccer Association REVOLUTION U14 girls and the U11boys teams won their WSSL select divisions.  Both teams battled tough competition to earn their titles.  The U14 girls were undefeated, allowing only two goals the entire season while scoring 21 against their opponents.  The U11 boys, suffering only one loss, battled for their position in an exciting, last game of the season match, against a rival Livonia Meteor team.  Congratulations to all players and teams on a job well done.  Click on the pictures for a larger image.

U19 Revolution Girls Take Traverse City!
September 25, 2005

Stormy conditions on the final day of the Traverse City Autumn Classic could not prevent the very determined Howell Area Soccer Association U19 Revolution girls team from cruising to victory.  Undefeated, the girls battled their way through tough competition to take the championship on Sunday afternoon.  The U11 and U14 girls, while not taking a championship in their age groups, also participated in the tournament.  Both teams had strong performances.  Congratulations to all tournament participants!

For the first time in the history of the club, all teams will be unified by our red, white, and blue colors and in name: REVOLUTION.  The change is part of the club's long term strategy to unite and grow the membership of Howell Area Soccer.  While the club will maintain it's solid core values designed during its humble beginnings, the new look will be part of revolutionary development, bringing continual improvement to the Howell area youth soccer experience.

THE ACADEMY Summer Soccer Camp!
July 29, 2005

The ACADEMY summer soccer camp, hosted by Howell Area Soccer Association, got off to a hot start and kept rolling.  With only 30 minutes of weather delay for the whole week, the campers got their fill of conditioning, soccer instruction, and competitive games.  The new all day camp worked extremely well, claimed Eric Anderson, Howell Area Soccer Association's Director of Premier Soccer.  The participants noticeably improved on a daily basis and had a huge amount of fun while doing it.  The final day of the camp ended with awards given in a variety of skill, teamwork, and enthusiasm categories, a camp shirt for all, and a spirited water fight.  For more images of the camp CLICK HERE.

Eric Anderson Becomes Director Of Premier Soccer

The Howell Area Soccer Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Anderson to the position of Director of Premier Soccer.  The Director of Premier Soccer is responsible for, among other things, building and managing all aspects of the HASA premier soccer program including the coaching staff. Anderson brings to HASA solid playing and coaching experience.

HASA Appreciation Night - Under The Lights

A gloomy evening turned bright as Howell Area Soccer Association members and their families arrived in force for the Howell Public Schools and the Lady Highlanders soccer team sponsored, 'HASA Appreciation Night'.  The evening featured free admissions for Howell Soccer members and their families, a tee shirt scramble, U10 girls and boys Revolution Premier teams scrimmaging at half-time, and competitive HHS JV and Varsity soccer games in which both Howell JV and Varsity teams emerged victorious.  For more images of the night's events Click Here.

Howell Public Schools and the Lady Highlanders soccer team, in cooperation with Howell Area Soccer Association, announces Howell Area Soccer Association Appreciation Night.  HASA Appreciation Night will occur the night of Friday May 6th when the Lady Highlanders take on Fowlerville at Page Field.  The night's events will include free admission for Howell Area Soccer players wearing their team jerseys and their parents, reduced admission for high school students with coupon, a performance by Howell High Schools own Acapella Choir, T-Shirt giveaways, Howell Area Soccer girls and boys REVOLUTION teams playing at half-time, and much more.  Come to the game to support the HHS Lady Highlander soccer and join in the fun.  For more information on Howell Area Soccer Association Appreciation Night see the Special Events page.
